Belt deviation is a very common failure when the belt conveyor is running. There are many reasons for the deviation of the conveyor belt, and we need to deal with them according to different reasons.

1. Adjust the bearing roller group

The belt conveyor belt can adjust the position of the idler group to adjust the deviation when the middle of the entire belt conveyor deviates; during the manufacturing, the mounting holes on both sides of the idler group are processed into long holes for adjustment. The specific method is which side the belt deflects, which side of the idler group moves forward in the direction of belt advancement, or the other side moves backward. If the belt runs in the upward direction, the lower part of the idler group should move to the left, and the upper part of the idler group should move to the right.

2. Install self-aligning roller group

There are many types of self-aligning rollers, such as intermediate shaft type, four-link type, vertical roller type, etc. The principle is to use blocking or supporting rollers to rotate in the horizontal direction to block or generate lateral thrust to automatically adjust the belt to the center of the belt The purpose of deviation. Generally, it is more reasonable to use this method when the total length of the belt conveyor is short or when the belt conveyor is running in both directions, because the shorter belt conveyor is more likely to deviate and not easy to adjust. The long belt conveyor is not recommended to use this method, because the use of self-aligning roller group will have a certain impact on the service life of the belt.

3. Adjust the position of the driving roller and the reversing roller

The adjustment of the driving roller and the redirecting roller is an important part of the belt deviation adjustment. Because a belt conveyor has at least 2 to 5 rollers, the installation position of all rollers must be perpendicular to the center line of the belt conveyor length direction. If the deflection is too large, deviation will inevitably occur. The adjustment method is similar to the adjustment of the roller group. For the head roller such as the belt deflecting to the right of the roller, the bearing housing on the right should move forward, and the belt deflecting to the left of the roller, the bearing housing on the left should move forward, and the corresponding Move the left bearing seat back or the right bearing seat back. The adjustment method of the tail roller is just the opposite of the head roller. After repeated adjustments until the belt is adjusted to a more ideal position. Install the position as accurately as possible before adjusting the drive or changing the drum.

4. Adjustment of belt tension

The adjustment of the belt tension is a very important part of the belt conveyor deviation adjustment. The two redirecting rollers on the upper part of the tension of the weight should be perpendicular to the vertical line of gravity in addition to the length direction of the belt, that is, to ensure that the center line of the shaft is horizontal. When using screw tensioning or hydraulic cylinder tensioning, the two bearing seats of the tensioning roller should be translated simultaneously to ensure that the axis of the roller is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt. The specific adjustment method of belt deviation is similar to the adjustment at the roller.

5. The impact of the blanking position at the transfer point on the belt deviation

The falling position of the material at the transfer point has a great influence on the deviation of the belt, especially when the projection of the two belt conveyors on the horizontal plane is perpendicular. Generally, the relative height of the upper and lower belt conveyors at the transfer point should be considered. The lower the relative height, the greater the horizontal velocity component of the material, the greater the lateral impact on the lower belt, and the material is also difficult to center. Deflect the material on the cross section of the belt, and then cause the belt to deflect. If the material deviates to the right, the belt will deviate to the left and vice versa.

In the design process, the relative height of the two belt conveyors should be increased as much as possible. The form and size of the upper and lower funnels, guide troughs and other parts of the mobile bulk transport machinery subject to space restrictions should be carefully considered. Generally, the width of the material guide groove should be about two-thirds of the belt width. In order to reduce or avoid belt deviation, it can increase the material baffle to block the material and change the falling direction and position of the material.

6. Adjustment of the deviation of the belt conveyor in two-way operation

The adjustment of the belt deviation of the two-way belt conveyor is much more difficult than the adjustment of the deviation of the one-way belt conveyor. In the specific adjustment, one direction should be adjusted first, and then the other direction. When adjusting, carefully observe the relationship between the movement direction of the belt and the deviation trend, and adjust them one by one. The focus should be on the adjustment of the driving roller and the redirecting roller, followed by the adjustment of the idler roller and the adjustment of the material drop point. At the same time, it should be noted that when the belt is vulcanized, the force on the length of the cross section of the belt should be uniform, and the force on both sides should be as equal as possible when using guide chain traction.
