1. High temperature of main lubricating oil

(1) The Cooling Fan Is Not Operating

The cooling fan is controlled by the sensor in the system. If the sensor fails or the fan motor is burned, the cooling fan will not operate. Check the sensor connector or replace it.

(2) Poor Cooling Effect Of Cooling Fan

Due to clogged pipelines, dust accumulation caused by fins that have not been cleaned for a long time, and high ambient temperature, it will cause poor heat dissipation. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean the dust accumulation of the cooling fan, dredge the pipeline, and increase the air guide to improve the air guide efficiency.

(3) Burning Of Internal Parts Of The Machine

When the crusher has experienced iron, hoarding and other phenomena, it will cause the components inside the crusher to scorch and lock, which will generate a lot of heat to quickly raise the temperature of the main lubricating oil. This situation needs to be disassembled to check the crusher components and replace them.

(4) Safety Valve Failure

The safety valve is a pressure reducing valve provided with a certain pressure in the lubrication system to protect the lubrication system. If the safety valve fails or the set value drops, the lubricating oil will not pass through the cooler. At this time, it is necessary to check whether the safety valve is normal.

2. Low flow rate of main lubricating oil

(1) The Filter Element Is Clogged

The clogging of the filter element will cause the flow rate in the system to drop, and the pressure difference between the two sides of the filter element is high. Therefore, the cone crusher should be regularly checked.

(2) The Oil Pump Capacity Of The Oil Pump Drops

Prolonged operation will cause the gears or mechanical seals in the oil pump to wear out, and the pump oil capacity of the oil pump will decrease. It should be checked and replaced in time.

(3) Clogged Filter

There is a pipe joint with a filter screen at the suction port of the oil pump, and large particles of debris in the oil will stay on the filter screen. If the filter is not cleaned in time, it will cause blockage, reduce the amount of oil and reduce the amount of main oil. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the debris in the filter on the pipe joint regularly.

3. The cleanliness of the main lubricant is reduced

(1) Wear Of Outer Dust Seal Ring

The gap between the outer dust seal ring and the dust bucket is less than 1.9 mm. If it is too large, a large amount of dust will enter. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the gap between the outer dust seal ring and the dust bucket.

(2) Insufficient Positive Air Volume

Insufficient positive air volume will reduce the positive pressure of the lubricating cavity, and dust will be easily drawn into the lubricating cavity, causing oil pollution and reduced cleanliness.

4. Overlubrication

Over-lubrication refers to a lubrication state in which excessive lubricant is added during the operation of the equipment, resulting in increased bearing temperature, increased noise, and reduced bearing life.

Note: There is no clear standard for over-lubrication evaluation. For example, we believe that 10 minutes of oil injection every 8 hours is the normal oil injection time, then 20 minutes of oil injection every 8 hours will be over-lubricated. In fact, this understanding is wrong. Overlubrication refers to the amount of grease stored in the bearing cup, which is the difference between injection and discharge. If the oil discharge is not smooth, even if the oil is injected for 1 minute every 8 hours, overlubrication will occur.

In the long-term use, the cone crusher is prone to poor lubrication, and at the same time, many parts are also easily worn out, which directly affects the production efficiency of the enterprise. Understanding the common failures and causes of main lubricants is helpful to improve the ability to prevent failures and ensure the smooth progress of crushing production.
